Wire
A traditional wire transfer goes from one bank or credit union to another using a network such as Fedwire or the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT). Due to a higher cost, typically wires are used for larger transactions or where a party wants the transaction to be irreversible.

Wire Cutoff Times
Wire transfers submitted after the daily cutoff will have their effective date rolled to the next business day. The last cutoff for domestic wires is 2:50 PM ET.
If you are using bring your own bank, wire cutoff times will be dependent on your banking partner and may vary from the above. You can view your specific processing windows on the Internal Account page in the Modern Treasury dashboard.
