Creating counterparties for payments

A Counterparty is an individual or business that you will pay or charge through Modern Treasury. Counterparties are associated to External Accounts, which are bank accounts or stablecoin wallets that they own and control.

We offer pre-built UIs that make it easier to onboard your counterparties. We also offer APIs and integrations to Plaid for bank account verification.
