Approval Rules for Administrators

Learn about how to create and manage approval rules

If you are a user assigned to a Role with Organization Manage and Review permissions, you are allowed to modify approval rules.

As described in the Approval Rules Overview, you can set up rules to specify Payment Orders or External Accounts that require human review based on certain conditions, and require users with specific Roles to review. For example, you can set up rules where one user with the Finance Role is required to review large outgoing payments or bank accounts that were created manually in the dashboard.

Multiple rules can trigger, resulting in sequential approval chains.

Note that only objects created after a rule modification will be evaluated with the changes. Previously created objects will not be affected.
