UETR Payment Reference Now Available on JPMC Wire and Cross-Border Payments

Modern Treasury now captures the Unique End-to-end Transaction Reference (UETR) from JPMorgan Chase on completed wire and cross-border payments. The UETR is a standard identifier on ISO 20022–formatted payments that can be used to trace and locate funds with the receiving bank, which is especially useful if a payment is delayed or held.

When available, the UETR appears as a new payment reference with a reference_number_type of swift_uetr, and is labeled Unique End-to-end Transaction Reference (UETR) in the dashboard. No action is required to enable it.
